This article discusses the development and validation of a brain segmentation pipeline using deep learning for accurate and reproducible brain quantification across pediatric and adult populations. The study shows that a single deep learning model trained on datasets covering a wide age range can perform comparably to age-specific models, and the proposed pipeline produces results comparable to established methods. The pipeline was tested on a diverse set of patients with various pathological conditions and MRI scans from different manufacturers and magnetic field strengths.
