Predicting Which Patients With Cancer Will See A Psychiatrist Or Counsellor From Their Initial Oncology Consultation Document Using Natural Language Processing

This article discusses the use of NLP to predict whether patients will see a psychiatrist or counselor after their initial oncology consultation. The best models achieved high accuracy and AUC scores, with neural models outperforming simpler models. The results suggest that neural networks may provide a more complex understanding of language for this type of prediction.
