The Lawrence Berkley National Lab (LBNL) has developed a new approach to materials science research by combining machine learning and natural language processing to accelerate the development of advanced energy technologies. This approach, known as the Autonomous Laboratory (A-Lab), uses ML models to generate synthesis recipes for predicted stable compounds, which are then tested using a robotic laboratory. This process has the potential to greatly increase the efficiency and success rate of materials development.
