Machine learning (ML) is a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) used to enable machines to independently improve their performance using data and experience. There are four primary approaches to ML: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, semi-supervised learning, and reinforced learning. Supervised learning uses labeled datasets to teach the machine, unsupervised learning uses clustering to group unlabeled datasets, semi-supervised learning combines labeled and unlabeled datasets, and reinforced learning uses rewards and punishments to teach the machine.
