This article examines the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Europe, focusing on the differences in AI adoption across the European economy. AI is defined as the adoption of one of the following technologies: text mining, speech recognition, natural language generation, image recognition, machine learning, decision making, and autonomous decision making. The article also discusses the role of human capital in the endogenous decision to adopt AI and the increasing global interest in AI.
