Laser molecular imaging enables the acquirement of information related to tissue structure and 3D chemical content, allowing for more accurate medical diagnostics and treatment monitoring. The combination of machine learning and imaging has been widely used in the detection and diagnosis of various diseases, such as tumors, systemic diseases, Alzheimer’s, cognitive impairment, cardiac sarcoidosis, and Parkinson’s. Nanotechnology, nanomaterials, and nanoparticles have great potential and constitute a new set of diagnostic tools, strengthening the THz response via nanoprobes for highly sensitive THz molecular imaging.
