This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest research and developments in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), showcasing the innovative approaches, novel techniques, and practical applications that are shaping its future. This year has seen a tremendous impact from large language models (LMM) in NLP, such as GPT-3, which have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in understanding and generating human-like text. These models have also made significant strides in language understanding tasks, such as sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and text classification. We invite the submission of high-quality, original contributions that address theoretical or practical issues related to the theme of the Special Issue.
