As 5G networks become increasingly complex, telcos are turning to automation techniques enabled by AI and ML, known as AIOps, to keep up. Javier Antich Romaguera, senior director of product management at Selector AI, explains that the volume and velocity of data generated by 5G, edge computing, and IoT is growing exponentially, creating a challenging environment for network operators to manage and extract meaningful data from. To address this, AI and ML are being used to automate network operations and provide operational intelligence of multi-cloud infrastructure and performance-sensitive managed services.
