Microsoft is using AI to transform desk jobs by adding a chatbot powered by AI, called Copilot, to its office-work software, Windows operating system, sales software, human-resources offerings, and security software. Copilot can find files, summarise contents, answer questions, dig out emails, draw up to-do lists, and create PowerPoint presentations. Microsoft is also investing in OpenAI, the startup behind ChatGPT, to inject cutting-edge AI into its products.
