Google recently wrapped up its Google Cloud Next event in San Francisco, where it announced 161 new offerings across a range of topics such as cloud infrastructure, AI, databases, analytics, business intelligence, and networking. Of particular note is the Vertex AI machine learning platform, which allows users to manage the entire ML lifecycle from model development to deployment. Google also announced the Vertex AI Model Garden, which provides access to a variety of curated large language models, as well as several new language models from Meta, Technology Innovation Institute, and Antropic. This allows users to select models tailored to their specific use cases and fine-tune and deploy models at scale.
