BMW has signed a deal with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop its next-generation advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) for its “Neue Klasse” vehicles set to launch in 2025. The cloud-based system will use AWS compute, generative artificial intelligence (generative AI), Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, digital twin and storage capabilities to help accelerate the delivery of highly automated BMW vehicles. The platform will provide the framework needed to process, catalogue, and store millions of miles of real-time driving data, and engineers and data scientists can use Amazon SageMaker to develop and train models.
