A report published by staffing firm NLB services has revealed that 78% of global capability centres (GCCs) in India will expand their talent pool, with 8% likely to double their workforce by 2023. The most sought-after jobs include data scientists, sustainability data analysts, statistical analysts, blockchain experts, AI/ML engineers and cybersecurity professionals. Industries such as automotive, BFSI, pharma, retail, energy and telecom have emerged as significant drivers of demand for specialised technology jobs. MNCs have been turning their GCCs into innovation centres, working in areas such as AI, NLP, data science, robotics and more.
