Microsoft (MSFT) has recently made a $10 billion investment in OpenAI, a company known for its artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT. This deal gives Microsoft early access to OpenAI technology and the ability to incorporate AI into its suite of tools. Morningstar analysts believe this deal sets Microsoft up to be one of the prime beneficiaries of the sector and that the potential for productivity improvements could result in an upside of 5-10% above the fair value estimate.
