Guodong Zhang is a graduating PhD student from the University of Toronto’s Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Arts & Science. His research focuses on theoretical foundations and practical algorithms for machine learning, which have already been adopted by major AI players such as Google Brain, DeepMind and OpenAI. He believes that the public should embrace AI as a catalyst for positive change and that addressing AI safety is one of the most important and impactful problems we face today.
