Google DeepMind is pushing the boundaries of robotics and AI by introducing RoboCat, a self-improving robotic agent that can learn and perform a variety of tasks with different arms. Additionally, the company has unveiled Agile Catching with Whole-Body MPC and Blackbox Policy Learning, a research paper that shows a robot catching objects thrown at high-speed without the use of language modelling. Google is one of the few companies that is trying to make AI useful, instead of just building chatbots.
