Apple recently announced several updates to the iPhone experience, including a new autocorrect powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This autocorrect will be able to consider the context of the word in a sentence, rather than just checking words against a dictionary. Other AI-powered updates include the Photos app being able to differentiate between your dog and other dogs, and AirPods being able to adjust to background noise based on your listening over time. Despite the potential of AI, Apple has been quiet about the technology, leading to accusations of falling behind. However, Apple is pushing forward with AI in small ways, which may be the future of where this technology is headed.
