Miaomiao Zhang, an assistant professor at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science, has received a Trailblazer R21 Award from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering to develop advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to analyze cine magnetic resonance imaging to help cardiologists rapidly and accurately identify the location of cardiac abnormalities and guide the placement of the CRT electrodes for cardiac resynchronization therapy.
