Self-driving labs are being used to search for new sustainable energy materials. Polybot, a self-driving lab at Argonne National Laboratory, is composed of three robots and machine learning software. The robots are programmed with Python scripts and perform manual tasks in an experiment. The machine learning software will analyze the sample and suggest changes for the next experiment. Polybot is a fully self-driving lab with a closed-loop system since June.
