Infineon Buys Swedish Tiny Machine Learning Firm Imagimob For Undisclosed Terms

Infineon Technologies AG, a German semiconductor company, has acquired Stockholm-based startup Imagimob AB. Imagimob offers Tiny Machine Learning and Automated Machine Learning or AutoML solutions, which is a platform provider for Machine Learning solutions for edge devices. With the acquisition, Infineon advances its position in Machine Learning solutions and significantly complements its AI offerings. Thomas Rosteck, President of Infineon’s Connected Secure Systems division, stated that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are about to largely enter every embedded application and enable new functionalities.
