Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have been around for decades, with the first successful ML system developed in 1955. In the last three decades, AI has been the inspiration for many movies, depicting a breakthrough technology that overnight changed the world. However, until 2010, the work done in the AI and ML fields was mainly in academics or the military and not tried out on the common man. In the last decade, however, we have seen a rapid growth in the field, with the Harvard Business Review in 2017 publishing a paper titled ‘Thinking Through AI’.
