Perplexity AI is a new AI chatbot that has been launched in August 2022 by a team of experts from OpenAI, Meta, Quora, and Databrick. It is free to use and offers a dedicated mobile app. It uses machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to respond to user questions and can be used for translation, chatbots, and voice assistants. It was tested against OpenAI’s GPT-4 and was found to provide shorter but more accurate answers.
