John Oliver recently criticized the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning models on his popular Sunday night talk show on HBO. He argued that AI is not as smart as it is made out to be and that it is often unpredictable. However, AI is still useful in many different sectors, such as education and finance, and large language models such as ChatGPT and Google’s LaM are being developed to improve the accuracy of AI.
