Bill Gates recently compared OpenAI’s GPT models to the graphical user interface (GUI) technology he used to create Windows. He claimed that he had pushed OpenAI to develop an AI system that could pass the Advanced Placement Biology exam, and GPT-4 reportedly received the highest score. Gates believes that the development of artificial intelligence is as important as the invention of the microprocessor, the personal computer, the Internet, and the cell phone, and will have a major impact on how people work, study, travel, receive medical treatment, and interact with one another.
