Illumina Inc. has launched the latest version of its DRAGEN software, v4.3, which includes enhancements and additions to analysis tools for next-generation sequencing data. The new version features a prebuilt pangenome with increased genetic diversity and reduced ancestry bias, as well as advancements in machine learning and the ability to genotype difficult genes. This aligns with the efforts of the Human Pangenome Reference Consortium to provide high-quality assemblies from diverse ancestries for researchers to use.
