Onvif Launches New Working Groups For Cloud, Metadata And Audio

ONVIF, a standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, has formed three new working groups to address standardization in cloud connectivity, audio, and advanced metadata. These groups, made up of volunteers from ONVIF member companies, aim to support the industry’s transition to new technologies and approaches in the physical security and video surveillance markets. More than 60 member representatives are involved in the development of an ONVIF cloud profile and a standard for semantic analytics metadata.
