Ilya Sutskever, a founding member of OpenAI, has launched a new startup called Safe Superintelligence, Inc. (SSI) dedicated to building advanced artificial superintelligence (ASI) models. Sutskever believes that superintelligence is within reach and that safety and capabilities should be approached in tandem. SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son also believes that AI 10,000 times smarter than humans will be here in 10 years and has made achieving ASI his life mission.
