SpiNNcloud, a University of Dresden spinout, is offering a five-billion neuron supercomputer in the cloud based on the second generation of Steve Furber’s SpiNNaker neuromorphic architecture. The architecture is a hybrid computer that combines acceleration for three different types of workloads, including brain-inspired spiking neural networks, practical application-inspired deep neural networks, and symbolic models.
