NUS researchers have developed a new class of silicon systems using FD-SOI technology that promises to greatly enhance the energy efficiency of AI connected devices. This innovation has the potential to extend battery life, support intense computational workloads, and reduce power consumption in wireless communications. An industry workshop was held to showcase these advancements and promote industry adoption through the FD-SOI & IoT Industry Consortium.
