Amazon has announced that Matt Garman will replace Adam Selipsky as CEO of AWS, following Selipsky’s three years of mixed results. Selipsky faced challenges in the AI space, with some initiatives not panning out and delays in the launch of generative AI products. Garman, who was once considered a frontrunner for the role, will now lead AWS as it competes in the rapidly growing generative AI market.
