Microchip Technology has announced its next-generation LAN969x Ethernet switches with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and High-availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR) and Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) for industrial automation applications. These switches offer scalable bandwidths, a powerful 1 GHz single-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, and support for multiple HSR and PRP Redundancy Box instances. The LAN969x can also implement a QuadBox, providing a single chip solution and reducing design complexity and costs.
