AI has come a long way since its introduction in 1974, and is now seen as a critical part of the equation in the workplace. A recent IEEE global study of 350 global CIOs, CTOs and technology leaders found that 95% agreed that AI will drive the majority of innovation across nearly every industry sector in the next one to five years. There are three models of AI in the loop: AI-only, Human-in-the-Loop, and Human-on-the-Loop. AI-only is the most basic model, while Human-in-the-Loop and Human-on-the-Loop involve humans in the decision-making process. AI is still far from human intelligence, but with the right combination of AI and human interaction, it can be used to create more efficient and effective solutions.
