This article describes a study that used the triple negative breast cancer cell line, MDA-MB-231, to investigate the effects of glucose uptake inhibitor Cytochalasin B on cell culture and treatment. The cells were seeded in ninety-six well-plates and incubated in the IncuCyte S3 live cell imaging system at 37 °C for 4 days. The cell culture medium was changed to DMEM with designated glucose and Cytochalasin B concentrations. Time-lapse fluorescent images were collected every 3 hours for 4 days to monitor cell death. The results of this study provide insight into the effects of Cytochalasin B on cell culture and treatment.
