The latest MLPerf Training 4.0 results have been released, with Nvidia once again dominating all nine “events”. However, the real story is the maturity of MLPerf itself as a useful tool for evaluating ML-centric systems and operating environments. With the addition of two new benchmarks and power metrics, there were over 205 performance results from 17 organizations. While Nvidia still holds a formidable lead, other contenders such as Intel, Google, and AMD also had strong showings.
