Researchers at the University of Toronto have developed a self-driving lab (SDL) technology that uses artificial intelligence and robotic synthesis to quickly and efficiently discover new organic solid-state laser (OSL) materials. This technology has enabled them to synthesize and test over 1000 potential OSL materials and discover at least 21 top performing candidates in a matter of months.
