Apple’s Ai Announcements Won’t Be “nearly As Impressive” As Openai & Google’s, But There’s Still Big Stuff Coming At Wwdc

Apple is planning to announce generative AI features at WWDC 2024, using on-device LLMs and high-end Mac chips in data centers. Changes to Siri will include a more conversational feel and AI-based editing for photos. OpenAI has reportedly won the race to partner with Apple on iOS 18, providing technology for the platform. Apple may eventually build its own chatbot, but for now will use a combination of its own features and OpenAI’s chatbot.
