The emergence of artificial general intelligence (AGI) has been a topic of recent interest, with companies like OpenAI and xAI working towards its development. While deep learning, a popular AI method, has shown promise in handling different data types, its reliance on large datasets and statistical rules makes it less suitable for achieving AGI. Humans, the models for AGI, do not rely on exhaustive rules, raising the question of whether current AI developments are truly leading towards AGI.
