As AI becomes increasingly embedded in enterprise processes, businesses are struggling to find the necessary skills to take advantage of the technology. A new report from Silico reveals that 94% of UK businesses are comfortable with technology taking charge of decision-making and autonomous planning, but a skills gap is preventing them from taking full advantage. A Gigged survey found that 72% of UK businesses are taking part in digital transformation projects, but 57% say the tech talent shortage has increased compared to last year. The most significant gaps are in software development, cybersecurity, and digital marketing. Reasons for the talent shortage include not being able to find qualified candidates and a lack of budget.
