The Innovation Center of NanoMedicine (iCONM) and The University of Tokyo have proposed a new method for evaluating the shape anisotropy of nanoparticles. This method uses deep learning to analyze the trajectory of Brownian motion, which is difficult to measure due to its extremely fast motion. This new method solves long-standing issues in nanoparticle evaluation that date back to Einstein’s time and is expected to support safety and reliability in the medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial fields.
