Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been making headlines in recent years, ranging from the anxious to the enthusiastic. In recognition of this reality, Caltech has begun offering a unique course on the leading edge of generative AI technology, EE/CS 148: Large Language and Vision Models. This course allows students to learn how to use generative AI for their own needs and to understand how it works. The course is taught by Georgia Gkioxari, an assistant professor of computing and mathematical sciences and electrical engineering, and Pietro Perona, a professor of electrical engineering.
