The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has posed a significant challenge to the delivery and management of health care services globally. To reduce exposure and unnecessary loads on emergency services, many outpatients or those in nursing centers were advised to monitor symptoms remotely and report through telemedicine. However, this could result in poor patient prognosis. To address this, many Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) methods have been developed for early diagnosis, patient severity assessment, or prognosis prediction.
