Baidu, the Chinese search engine giant, unveiled its AI-powered chatbot Ernie Bot on Thursday, which is seen as a potential rival to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The introduction of Ernie Bot comes two days after Google unveiled a flurry of AI tools and Microsoft is expected to make a similar announcement. Ernie Bot is powered by Baidu’s AI-driven deep learning model, Ernie, which stands for Enhanced Representation through Knowledge Integration.
