In 1956, Jack D. Cowan visited Wilfred Taylor and his strange new “learning machine” which was an early analog form of a neural network. This machine was able to find connections and retrieve data, but the exact way it was doing this was unknown. Neural networks are a subset of machine learning and are inspired by the human brain. Over the years, AI has become more reliant on neural networks and their value is now widely accepted.
