This study aimed to collect data on the sports behavior, sports learning interest, and sports autonomy of college students in Liaoning University, and to build an optimal machine learning model based on sports learning interest and sports autonomy to predict college students’ sports behavior. The study used a questionnaire to collect data from 1798 college students, and the physical exercise grade scale revised by Chinese scholar Liu to measure the sports behavior of college students. The optimal machine learning model provides an effective basis for intervention to improve college students’ low-level sports behavior.
