Nissan Motor Co. and Renault SA have announced a rebalancing of their shareholdings, which will provide guidance elasticity for each automaker but reduce synergies between their businesses. The two automakers have also outlined a new leadership structure and plan to jointly create six new models for the Indian market and export. However, the lack of strong leadership after the ouster of Carlos Ghosn, waning stakeholdings, and diverging strategies are unlikely to be as effective as before.
