Using Machine Learning, Modeling To Detect Earth-like Planets

Eric Ford, a distinguished professor of astronomy and astrophysics at Penn State, combines astrophysical knowledge and machine learning techniques to research low-mass planets beyond our solar system. His interdisciplinary approach has been aided by the resources at Penn State, including the Institute for Computational and Data Sciences and the Center for Exoplanets and Habitable Worlds.
