Nvidia is pushing to combine the worlds of GeForce GPUs and high-end AI processing hardware, revealing new ways for GeForce graphics to bring faster and better AI tools to gamers and professionals. The company announced new “GeForce RTX AI Laptops” that offer AI features powered by neural processing units, or NPUs, in addition to the gaming GPUs’ Tensor cores. This allows for both “Light AI” and “Heavy AI” tasks to be powered on the same system.
