– Ensuring the Data Centre is maintained to the highest standards and is operating within design parameters
– Managing the Data Centre infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and fire suppression systems
– Monitoring and analyzing energy usage and implementing energy efficiency measures
* Management of the Data Centre Monitoring and Control Infrastructure (DCMI):
– Providing 1st line support for the DCMI monitoring suite
– Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the DCMI system
* Management of the Data Centre Operations team:
– Providing leadership and guidance to the team
– Ensuring the team is trained and equipped to carry out their roles effectively
– Managing the team’s workload and prioritizing tasks
* Collaboration with other teams and departments:
– Working closely with the HPC Systems team to ensure the smooth operation of the HPC systems and infrastructure
– Collaborating with the Cyber Security team to ensure the security of the Data Centre and its systems
– Liaising with external contractors and suppliers for maintenance and repairs
