A team of experts in various engineering fields have developed a miniature 3D positioning system using photo sensors and lighthouses from the HTC Vive. This system has potential applications in fields such as robotic surgery, dance performances, and tracking brain activity in rats. By measuring the timings of laser signals emitted by the lighthouses, the system can accurately estimate a person’s position in 3D space.
