Ampere Computing, an Oracle-backed chip designer, is set to release a 256-core server CPU next year and is working with Qualcomm on an AI inference solution. The company also announced plans for a 12-channel memory version of its existing CPUs, a joint solution with Netint, and an expanded chiplet-based design strategy.
