A new dataset, SVRDD, has been developed for the detection of pavement damage using street view images. Ten object detection algorithms were trained and assessed using this dataset, providing reliable data support for future development of deep learning algorithms. The rapid and precise monitoring of road pavement damage is crucial for extending the service life of highways.
